Classic modern sells vintage modern lighting, textiles, rugs, ceramics and glass, plastics and metalware from the 1950s, 60s and 70s in design styles ranging from Danish/Scandinavian midcentury modern through pop and op-art space-age design to Panton-era psychedelic.

We hunt out our high-quality mid to late 20th century design on our regular buying trips around Europe and in particular Scandinavia, sourcing each item individually and selecting only the very best from the hundreds of dealers and suppliers we visit each year.

Many of the items we offer for sale are established design classics by well-known artists and architects, while others are as yet less well-known and have been selected on the basis of their classic modern style and high production quality. Our years of painstaking primary research into some of these more obscure designers and producers have resulted in our design spotlight section, where you can read our exclusive profiles of Lyfa, Fog & Mørup, Simon Henningsen (son of the celebrated PH), Torben Ørskov, Ege Rya and others.

Established on the internet since 2003, we are based in London, UK, and ship to our many customers both in the UK and around the world, who frequently return to buy again.
