A vintage 60's/70's West German Ruscha enamelled ceramic art tile in COBRA style |

This vintage stoneware wall tile carries a striking COBRA-style artwork in high-gloss enamels on a dark burnished copper-coloured background glaze which glistens metallically in direct light. The tile's distinctive texture (see second large image below) indicates that it is a Ruscha ceramic produced in West Germany in the 60's–70's. It is signed with the initials FP or JP together with the number 767, and measures 36 x 23cm (14 x 9 inches). It in excellent condition with no damage. For more images please scroll down the page. |
