A vintage 50's/60's Italian vase with lava-textured glaze and hand-painted scraffito fish motifs |

The scrafitto outlining, brightly coloured high-gloss enamel glazes and lava-like background texture of this vase owe their style to the influence of Fantoni and Gambone, and are highly characteristic of Italian studio art pottery in the 50's and 60's. The vase has a height of 24.5cm (9.75 inches) and a diameter of 12cm (4.75 inches), and is in excellent condition with a little crazing to the glossy interior glaze but no chips, cracks or other damage.
