A large commemorative faicence mug for 1976 by Anne Marie Trolle for Royal Copenhagen |
||
|
This is the large version of Royal Copenhagen's annual commemorative mug series, for which a different artist has been commissioned each year since 1967. The artist in 1976 was Anne Marie Trolle, and this abstract work was her contribution to the series. Measuring 11.5cm tall (4.5 inches) and with a diameter of 10.5cm (around 4 inches) not including the handle, this would make a fitting birthday gift for someone born in 1976. The mug is fully stamped up on the base and has the hallmarked silver roundel that was included on these mugs during the 60s and 70s, and upon which names or messages could be engraved. The roundel on this mug remains unused, and the mug is altogether in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. For more images please scroll down the page. |
