A pair of vintage 1960s/1970s Festivo glass candleholders designed by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala

These heavy, ice-textured pressed glass candleholders were designed by Timo Sarpaneva for Finnish glassmaker Iittala circa 1966. A vintage 1971 advertisement for the range, entitled Festivo, is reproduced right and below.

We have a pair of these vintage Festivo candlesticks available (pictured below), one 12cm (4.75 inches) tall and weighing around 450g (1lb), and the other 25cm (10 inches) tall and weighing around 900g (2lb). The taller candlestick retains its original Iittala label which carries the Iittala “i” logo and reads “Made in Finland”. The candleholders take a standard-sized tapered candle as well as the more unusual candles pictured in the advert. Both are in excellent condition with no damage.
