A large Royal Copenhagen Fajance dish by the artist Kari Christensen, produced in Denmark in the mid to late 70s |
||
|
The backstamp on this large Royal Copenhagen dish has an underscore beneath the penultimate letter in "Copenhagen", indicating that it was created between the years of 1975 and 1979. It also carried the artist's initials KC for Kari Christensen. The lively design of birds and flowers is painted in navy, aquamarine, taupe and burgundy. This is the larger size in this Royal Copenhagen dish range, measuring 27 x 27cm (a little over 10.5 inches square) with a depth of approximately 5cm (2 inches). The dish is in very good condition with a little age-related crazing but no damage. For more images please scroll down the page. |
