A large craquelure ceramic dish depicting lovers by Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen 1960s/70s |
||
|
This large shallow dish with its gently curving edges features a pair of moon-eyed lovers in the distinctive Marianne Starck style. Measuring 32 x 20cm (12.5 x 7.75 inches) and with a height at the corners of 7.5cm (3 inches), the dish is incised on the base with the initials MS and with the Michael Andersen crest as well as the figures 5696 and the letter E. There are three small misses to the glaze in this central recessed area of the base which are presumed to result from the use of a tripod to support the ceramic during the production process. Otherwise the piece is in perfect condition. For more images please scroll down the page. |
