Fog & Morup Nova pendant lights by Jo Hammerborg

The Nova was produced in three versions – copper, brass and aluminium – and this pair are the golden-coloured solid brass version. They have a diameter of 40cm (15.75 inches) and a height of 18cm (7 inches), and take a standard-sized screw bulb max 100w. One of the lights is in very good condition, with a few small marks to the copper but no damage to the interior paintwork. The second light is in fair condition with more substantial wear, most notably in the form of pinprick-sized but fairly extensive light pitting to the brass, but its interior paintwork remains in very good condition with just one scuff to the dark grey paint inside the central ring. The two lights have slightly different internal frameworks for holding the various parts of the lamp in position. Both are original and they perform exactly the same function.
