Sigvard Bernadotte was the son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and a pioneer of industrial design in Scandinavia. He designed the highly effective Nya Clara can opener for Nils Johan in 1963, and these examples date from the 60s–70s. The device may be attached to a wall by sliding a slim panel at the wider end of the device out of its slot, screwing it to the wall through the holes provided, and sliding the opener back onto the panel. The orange version pictured here is no longer in stock.
