A top-quality vintage enamelled metal ceiling lamp made in the 1960s by lighting company Lyfa of Denmark

This vintage 1960s lemon yellow ceiling light has been produced to the highest possible standards of quality. Made from very strong and heavy enamelled metal, the light has a solid, chunky feel and look. It is in excellent condition and the paintwork very glossy. The designer of the light is unknown, but it was manufactured by the prestigious Danish lighting company Lyfa and still has its original Lyfa sticker attached.

Lyfa was a key producer of the innovative lighting that is so characteristic of this important period in Danish design history, and commissioned many of the country's top designers and architects to design their lights, including Piet Hein, Finn Juhl, Claus Bonderup, Bent Karlby, Louis Weisdorf, Simon Henningsen (son of the celebrated Poul Henningsen) and Michael Andersen. The lamp has a height of 21cm (8.25 inches) and a diameter of 15cm (6 inches), and the matching yellow flex has a length of around 77cm (just over 30 inches).
