Designed by Stig Jorgensen and manufactured by the Danish company Dana-plast, these vintage nutcrackers are not just great to look at and to hold, they also crack nuts with tremendous efficiency. Made of solid, heavy but glossy plastic in a range of vivid and shiny retro colours as illustrated below, they are strong enough to dispatch even the hardest nut. The bowl section has an external diameter of around 7.5cm (3 inches) and an internal diameter of 3.75cm (1.5 inches). We currently have the nutcracker available only in clear with black handle, or brown. If you would like to choose your colour, email us, otherwise we'll send you a colour at random. All the items offered for sale by classic modern are genuine original vintage pieces from the 50s, 60s and 70s and (unless described as mint or unused) may show some evidence of their age consistent with careful previous use. We do, however, select items on the basis of condition and quality as well as style, and will draw attention to any specific damage such as cracks, chips or scratches. |
