A vintage pair of Danish modern style trumpet-like waisted candleholders made in pewter

These pewter candlesticks were purchased in Denmark and have a classic Danish modern flared trumpet-style waisted profile. They are believed to date from the 1960s or 1970s.

Standing a fraction under 14cm (5.5 inches) and 20cm (8 inches) tall respectively, and with a base diameter of 5cm (2 inches), the sticks are designed to hold candles with a diameter of approximately 2cm (three-quarters of an inch). The candleholders are in very good condition with light wear consistent with their vintage age.
