A small vintage Sixties hand-woven shag-pile Danish rya rug with psychedelic target design in reds and yellow

Purchased in Denmark, this tiny vintage Sixties pure wool rya is mat-sized rather than rug-sized, measuring just 50cm (20 inches) square, and ideal for use on a wall. The offset concentric rings are densely woven in burgundy, red, coral and yellow in a psychedelic pop-art design like a target distorted by tunnel vision. The reverse side of the mat is soiled from previous use on a floor, but the top side is clean and in very good condition.
