A pure wool vintage late 1950's or early 1960's Ege Rya rug with tartan-like design in a range of vivid greens

This original vintage rya rug was made in Denmark in the late 50's or early 60's. Its label has been lost from the reverse side, but the characteristic weave and binding reveal this to be an original Ege Rya rug. The rya has a medium-length shag pile and measures 66 x 108cm (approximately 26 x 43 inches). The tartan-like design is executed in a spectrum of lively greens including sea green, moss, apple and lime.
