An Ege Rya Boutique rug entitled Route 66 and made in Denmark in the 1960's

This stylish and unusual Ege rya was produced as part of the company's Boutique range in the 1960's and its title is Route 66. The rug measures 70 x 110cm (27.5 x 43.5 inches) and still has its original Ege label on the reverse side.In purple, rust and two shades of moss green on a cream background, the rug has a striking asymmetrical abstract design which lends itself to use either on the floor or as a Scandinavian-style wall hanging.
