A large circular pop-art target textile produced by Finlayson of Finland in the 1960's or 1970's

This large and striking vintage textile not only has a pop-art target design, it's also a target shape. It was made in the 60's or early 70's by Finlayson of Tampere, Finland and has a label stitched to the edge on the reverse side that reads Finlayson Finland 100% cotton. The textile is in very good condition with only minimal signs of previous use.

With a diameter of 150cm (59 inches), it was originally intended for use as a tablecloth and was specifically created with a Saarinen-style circular table in mind, though it is also suitable for a rectangular table with a width/length of up to approximately 120cm (47 inches). The fabric is a strong medium-weight cotton and the target design has been screenprinted in concentric rings of beige, warm sand, coffee and chocolate brown, and is finished around the outer edge with a narrow dark brown cotton binding.
