A set of 1960's or 1970's screenprinted hessian tableware textiles by Sodahl of Denmark

It is rare to find a set of these vintage 60's/70's Sodahl hessian tablemats in unused mint condition. The set comprises five identical oval placemats each measuring 34 x 42.5cm (13.25 x 16.75 inches). The art nouveau revival-style design has been screenprinted in rich turquoise, deep sky blue and navy blue with a hint of purple. There is a narrow 7mm (0.25 inch) band of lighter sky blue cotton piping around the outside edge of the placemats and all have labels which read "Sodahl design 60 per cent jute 40 per cent polyester. Made in Denmark."
