A vintage 60's/70's Scandinavian jute/hessian textile wallhanging by Sodahl Design A/S

This colourful vintage textile wall hanging was purchased in Denmark and dates from the late 60's to early 70's. Produced by Sodahl Design A/S of Denmark, the textiles company founded in 1963 by artist and designer Hans-Jürgen Schöbel, the stylised double peacock motif has been silkscreen-printed in vibrant greens and blues with burnished gold onto a jute-polyester mix textile panel measuring 66.5cm (approximately 26 inches) square. The artwork is ready for wall hanging, mounted on its original painted wooden rods and retaining its original leather-effect hanging string across the top rod. It is in immaculate, virtually mint condition.
