This original vintage textile from the 60s or 70s was purchased in Denmark, but its screenprinted apple artwork is more Swedish than Danish in character, the style resembling work by Swedish textile artists such as Viola Gråsten and Annika Malmström.
Measuring 144 x 176cm (56.75 x 69.25 inches) and hemmed on all four sides, the textile has been screenprinted in a range of greens including forest, pea and lime green, along with light cyan blue and a soft greenish black. The fabric is a very heavy canvas-like cotton with a surprisingly smooth and soft texture, and is in excellent condition.
