A vintage 60's/70's strong cotton tablecloth with geometric flower design in four shades of blue

This vintage 1960's/1970's circular tablecloth no longer has its original label but was purchased in Scandinavia and is very similar to others we have had that were produced by Finlayson of Finland and is believed likewise to be a Finlayson textile. Its diameter is 135cm (just over 53 inches) and the strong, almost canvas-like cotton is trimmed with cotton binding all around the outer edge.

The textile features a large-scale flower design in four shades of blue in concentric rings, in which the petal detail within each ring is picked out by the blue from its neighbouring ring. The textile is in very good condition with two or three small signs of previous use in the form of small non-prominent marks that are visible upon close inspection.
