Two Lyskaer Belysning ball-shaped pendant lights

These classic space-age lacquered steel pendant lights were made in the late 1960's or early 1970's by Danish lighting company Lyskaer Belysning and are Lyskaer's interpretation of Verner Panton's 1959 Topan design for Louis Poulsen. The lights have been produced to a very high standard of quality and are actually considerably stronger than the Topan itself. They have a diameter of 18cm (7 inches) and a height of 16cm (6.25 inches) and take a standard-sized Edison screw-fitting bulb up to 60w (not supplied). They have been rewired to meet or exceed current UK and international safety standards and are in glossy, virtually mint condition.
