Purchased in Denmark, these bold 1970s curtains feature a series of large-scale Pantonesque geometric moons, each moon measuring 44 x 47cm. Printed on a dark brown background in eight orange-spectrum shades from terracotta through tan to warm beige on a medium to heavy manmade fabric with a texture not unlike canvas, the moons are flanked by other similarly striking geometric forms. The curtains have been made up from a 108cm-wide main section and a secondary strip 21cm wide, giving each curtain an overall width of 129cm with a depth of 178 cm. The secondary strip has been attached to the outer edge in each case, which means that the two curtains are asymmetrical (see images). The curtains are in very good vintage condition, with general light wear in the form of a degree of roughening to the fabric's surface texture, giving it the look and feel of brushed cotton. Both retain their original header tape so are ready to hang (curtain hooks not supplied).
