Danish 1950s midcentury modern P528 pendant light by Bent Karlby for Lyfa

Danish 1950s midcentury modern P528 pendant light by Bent Karlby for Lyfa

Danish 1950s midcentury modern P528 pendant light by Bent Karlby for Lyfa

Designed by Danish architect-designer Bent Karlby and produced by Lyfa in the 1950s, this P528 midcentury Danish modern rise-and-fall pendant with its gunmetal grey shade was part of Lyfa's premium-quality Lyfalux lighting range. The perspex core provides glare-free but effective illumination, and the lamp has a diameter of 34.5 cm and a height of 18cm, making it ideal for use over a dining table, for example. The egg-shaped rise-and-fall housing is marked "Lyfa Made in Denmark", and a handle in the base of the perspex core allows for easy height adjustment. The light is in excellent condition with very little sign of previous use, and takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb max 75 w (not supplied).
