Design Light of Denmark perspex UFO pendant light

A vintage UFO-style pendant light produced by Design Light A/S of Denmark, probably in the 1980s. Entitled Topsy, the light is based around a 5mm-thick (0.2-inch) perspex plate with a diameter of 33cm (13 inches), the edges of which catch and reflect the light when the bulb is lit, creating a bright and sharply defined ring in a dramatic Saturn-like effect. The lamp is in excellent condition with barely any sign of age or previous use, and its original two-core bulbholder and flex have been replaced with brand-new three-core versions in the same style to meet or exceed current UK and international safety standards. It takes an E27 reflector bulb max 60w, which we are including with the purchase.
