Single curtain with bold geometric chainlink design, 1970s West Germany
This eye-catching textile is made from a strong manmade fibre in a textured weave like heavy slubbed silk with a lightly satinised finish, and is printed in with a bold chainlink design in dark chocolate brown, coffee brown, brilliant orange and light stone on a warm white background. There is a slot along the top edge to take a rod or wire (not supplied) to enable it to be hung as a single curtain or decorative wall hanging. The textile measures 116 wide and 159 cm in length and has the word Pflegeleicht (meaning "easy care" in German) printed on its selvedge on the reverse side, pointing to a West German origin.
