Description

This classic 1970s modernist wall lamp was produced in Denmark by Fog & Mørup and designed by the company's head of design Jo Hammerborg. Measuring 9 x 9 x 18.5 cm, the lamp is designed to be wall-mounted onto two small nails or screws (not supplied) using the two slots, one vertical and the other horizontal, built into the back end. Alternatively it also stands happily on its back end for use as a desk or table lamp. Made of strong, thermal-lacquered steel plate, the sturdy lamp is in excellent condition with barely any sign of previous use. It takes a small Edison screw candle bulb max 40w and comes with its original European two-pin plug and its on-off cord, which hangs vertically when the lamp is wall-mounted. This is a rarely seen Hammerborg design and would originally have included a louvre (no longer present) to shield the bulb.
