Jo Hammerborg's gleaming Medio pendant light, issued by Fog & Mørup in 1966, is a space-age classic with its futuristic spaceship-like geometric form and gleaming finish. At the same time it reminds us of Hammerborg's background as a silversmith at top Danish jeweller Georg Jensen, as its semi-irridescent kingfisher blue exterior has the lustrous and luminous qualities of a polished blue topaz. Rarely seen today, especially in this blue colourway, the lamp is in excellent condition with a few tiny paint nicks (pictured) and comes complete with glare-cancelling louvre. Measuring 32 cm in diameter and 17 cm in height, it takes an Edison screw bulb max 100w (not supplied).
