Huge curtain with geometric pop-art design in browns and beige, 1970s

Huge curtain with geometric pop-art design in browns and beige, 1970s

Huge curtain with geometric pop-art design in browns and beige, 1970s

Purchased in Denmark but possibly German in origin, this huge single curtain measures 548 cm in width with a drop of 223 cm and would be suitable for use as a room divider or stage curtain. In the full-view image it has been folded twice lengthways so shows just one-quarter of the actual width. The bold geometric design is printed in classic 1970s colours of rich chocolate brown, brick, tan and beige on a white background. Print info on the selvedges reveals that the heavyweight fabric is 100% viscose, which has a textured weave like a herringbone pattern of varying depths. The curtain hangs beautifully and is in excellent condition and ready to hang, retaining its original header tape (curtain hooks not supplied) and weighted hem ends.
