Kristian Vedel
Kristian Vedel (1923–2003) was a Danish industrial designer who studied under Kaare Klint at the Department of Furniture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He was instrumental in establishing the Society of Industrial Designers of Denmark and served as its first chairman from 1966 to 1968. Vedel's designs were influenced by his interest in materials, and his 1950s tableware for Torben Ørskov explored the limits of form and surface texture offered by melamine plastic.
