Södahl Design large cotton screenprint Puebla by Hans-Jürgen Schöbel

Out Of Stock Södahl Design large cotton screenprint Puebla by Hans-Jürgen Schöbel

Södahl Design large cotton screenprint Puebla by Hans-Jürgen Schöbel

Created in Denmark in the late 1960s or early 1970s by Södahl Design A/S, the company founded in 1963 by artist/designer Hans-Jürgen Schöbel as a vehicle for his own artworks, this large cotton screenprint is entitled Puebla and measures 114 x 225 cm. Printed in dusty pink, aubergine, purple and blueish black on very strong cotton and finished on all four sides, the artwork is in excellent condition overall with only a few narrow fold-produced fade lines to speak for its age (see pictures). There are two small original print flaws where during the screenprint process the black ink has left tiny matching blibs in the dusty pink area as it passed the same pattern repeat (see final two pics). The words "Södahl Design A/S Puebla" are printed on the underside.
