Single pendant light by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup, 1970s acrylic and brass

The ultimate in 70s lounge style, Jo Hammerborg's mid-1970s Single pendant light is described in an October 1976 Fog & Mørup advert in the following terms: "Single, with its elegant and distinctive design, provides the perfect light over the dining table, for example – clear but gentle and without dazzle. Available with acrylic shade in transparent opal white, brown or green. The hangers are chromed brass in the white version, and brass in the others." This is the brown acrylic version with brass hangers and is in very good condition with small signs of age and use, including a one or two tiny scuffs to the shiny outer layer and a short hairline fracture between one of the brass bolts and the edge of the shade which doesn't extend through to the inside layer, discolouration to the interior, and a slight warp along 1–2 cm of the edge of the inside layer (see photos). The lamp has a diameter of 48 cm and a height of 25 cm and takes a standard Edison screw bulb max 100w (not supplied).
