Henning Koppel Danish modern design melamine pitcher/jug for Torben Orskov
Henning Koppel Danish modern design melamine pitcher/jug for Torben Orskov
Designed by Henning Koppel in the late 1950s for luxury goods producer Torben Ørskov, this one-litre capacity red melamine jug/pitcher was an unusual deviation from Koppel's work in silverware and jewellery, but shows the same sculptural quality and sensual form that characterises all his work. This original late 50s/early 60s production is in very good condition with a few light scuffs that were not possible to capture in the photos. It is embossed on the base with the Torben Ørksov logo, Henning Koppel's HK monogram and the words T. Ørskov & Co. HK Design Denmark. It stands 16 cm tall with a width of 13 cm and a depth of 17 cm.
