Kreta cased glass pendant lamp by Jacob E Bang for Fog & Mørup, 1960s
A 1960s collaboration between Denmark's most prestigious glassworks, Holmegaard, and Fog & Mørup, the Kreta was designed by Holmegaard's head of design Jacob E Bang. The Kreta's glass was hand-blown at the glassworks in several colours, this example being olive green with white casing and in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. At 37 cm in height and with a diameter of 24 cm, the Kreta is a medium- to large-sized lamp which casts an effective but glare-free light. It takes a standard Edison screw bulb max 75w (not supplied).
