Bubble lamps by Horn Belysning A/S of Denmark

These Danish space-age bubble lights were made in the 60's and 70's by ES Horn Belysning of Aalestrup, Denmark. The robust ball-shaped metal heads are attached to their bases by a concealed magnet so strong that they cling on even when turned competely upside down, but can be swivelled around freely to adjust the position. Standing 15cm (6 inches) tall, they are designed to work as table lamps or spotlights, and may be screwed to a wall via a hole that runs through the centre of the magnetic base. The space helmet style heads are in good condition with a number of small scuffs and scratches to the paintwork. All the lamps retain their original black wiring in excellent condition with integral on/off switch and two-pin European plug.
