Matte black and brass clamshell wall light

This high-quality vintage wall light was made in Denmark in the 1950s or 1960s and remains in excellent condition with little sign of previous use. The matte black painted hood is made of strong, bend-resistant steel, and can be adjusted through more than 90 degrees to shade the bulb to the precise extent required, revealing a glossy brass stem when raised. A concealed hole in the back plate allows the light to be wall-mounted on a simple picture hook or nail. The light's original on/off cord and toggle are still present and fully functioning, and the lamp is fitted with a European two-pin plug at the end of a generous 3.5 metres of cable. It takes a small Edison screw bulb max 40w (not supplied). Dimensions are height 17cm (6.75 inches), width 10cm (4 inches), depth from wall 10 to 21cm (4 to 8.25 inches) depending on position of shade.
