Bold geometric fabric with silver frond lozenges

The bold geometric design on this vintage fabric features a huge lozenge motif in a classic late 1960s to early 1970s spectrum of warm browns – from black through dark brown, reddish earth, ginger and beige – offset by feathery silver-grey fronds, against an ivory white background. Each lozenge measures 55.5 x 31.5cm (22 x 12.5 inches), and the fabric's overall dimensions are 120 x 220cm (47.25 x 86.5 inches). Reclaimed from a curtain, the fabric is a slubbed wool/manmade mix and is in good condition with a little patchy fading (see images). The left-hand edge was previously hemmed and as a consequence has 1cm (0.5-inch) snips every 7 to 10cm (3 to 4 inches) plus two vertical fade lines where the hem was folded. The right-hand edge was joined to another length of fabric and no trace of that seam remains.
