Danish modern space-age ball pendant light in glossy orange, 1960s

This glossy orange space-age pendant ball light was made in Denmark in the 1960s by Danish lighting company Lyskaer Belysning, and is Lyskaer's interpretation of Verner Panton's 1959 Topan design for Louis Poulsen. With a diameter of 18.5 cm and a height of 15 cm, the lamp's orange lacquered steel body has a matte white aluminium insert designed to increase the amount of downward illumination while avoiding glare. It takes a standard-sized Edison screw-fitting bulb up to 60w (not supplied) and is in very good condition with minor wear in the form of a slight bump to the lower edge of the insert and a small paint chip to the insert's outer rim (see photos).
