Bumling light by Anders Pehrson for Atelje Lyktan

This enduring pendant light was conceived by Swedish designer Anders Pehrson in 1968 and is still currently in production by its original manufacturer Atelje Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden. This particular example is, however, an original vintage version produced in the 1960s/70s in green – a colourway no longer available today. This is the smaller version of the Bumling pendant, with a diameter of 25cm (10 inches) and a height of 26cm (10.25 inches). It is in very good glossy condition with just a few small chips to the paintwork, but has lost the plastic grille/diffuser that would originally have rested on the inside rim to reduce glare from the lightbulb.
