Danish layered art light designed by Bent Karlby for Lyfa, late 1960s

Issued by Lyfa in 1968, Bent Karlby's Troika pendant light was marketed as one of the company's Lyfalux series, a branding reserved for their most high-quality designer lines. With its tri-tone colour scheme of chocolate brown, coffee and cream, the Troika is a classic Bent Karlby art light, reflecting his long-standing interest in how colours change in different lighting conditions and using this to create the famous Danish hygge (cosiness). With a diameter of 37 cm and a height of 15 cm the lamp is in very good condition with minor scuffing to the central cap (see photos).
