Danish modern hand-turned teak candleholders

With a height of 30cm (11.75 inches), these vintage mid-century Danish modern candleholders stand around 7cm (2.75 inches) taller than is usual for the style. Together with their matte black painted finish, this extra height adds to the understated elegance of the sculptural, somewhat feline design. Manufactured by hand during the 1960's when they would have been an essential part of the modern Danish domestic setting, commonly used both at the dining table and in the living room, the sticks are designed to hold candles with a diameter of approximately 2cm (0.75 inch). They are in excellent condition with only minor signs of use.
