ES Horn of Denmark space age wall/table/spot lamps pair, 60s/70s
Larger and more substantial than the usual Danish ball lamps from the 60s and 70s, these vintage space-age lamps stand 18 cm tall and have a diameter of 15 cm. They were designed to be multipurpose and can either be mounted on a wall or used freestanding on a flat surface, so are well suited for use as desk lamps, bedside table lamps, shelf lamps, spotlights and many other functions. The white-laquered superstrong metal ball-shaped heads are attached to the bases by concealed magnets which hold them securely in place even when they're wall-mounted, which is achieved by attaching the base to the wall with a screw (not supplied) through a hole in the base created specifically for that purpose. Their black plastic bases measure 5 cm in height and have a footprint diameter of 10 cm. Both lamps are in very good condition with minor signs of previous use (see photos) and retain their original stylish inline on/off switches and European two-pin plugs. They take a small Edison screw bulb max 40w (not supplied). Both lamps also retain their original labels with the legend "ES Horn A/S DK 9620 Aalestrup". We are offering the lamps for sale as a pair and the price listed is for both lamps.
