Black Horn Belysning ball pendant lights

Offered for sale as a pair, these matte black lacquered steel pendant lights were produced in the late 60s to early 70s by Danish lighting company Horn Belysning and are Horn's interpretation of Verner Panton's classic early space-age Topan design of 1959. The lights have been produced to a very high standard of quality and are actually considerably stronger and more robust than the Topan itself. They have a diameter of 18cm (7 inches) and a height of 16cm (6.25 inches) and take a standard-sized Edison screw-fitting bulb up to 60w (not supplied). They are in near-mint condition have been rewired with three-core cable and brand new electrical components throughout to meet or exceed current UK and international safety standards.
