Orange 1970s Danish bubble lamps pair

Offered for sale as a pair, these orange space-age bubble lights were made in the 70's by ES Horn of Aalestrup, Denmark. The robust ball-shaped metal heads are attached to their bases by a concealed magnet so strong that they cling on even when turned competely upside down, but can be swivelled around freely to adjust the position. Standing 15cm (6 inches) tall, the lamps are designed to work either as table lamps or spotlights, and may be screwed to a wall via a hole that runs through the centre of the magnetic base. The lamps are in very good condition with minor wear in the form of small scuffs to the paintwork, and they retain their original European 2-pin plugs. They take a small Edison screw golfball bulb max 40w (not supplied).
