Vintage retro atomic placemats by Jorunn Jo Norway

A set of four original vintage cotton (or possibly linen) placemats, designed in the late 1950s to early 1960s by Norwegian artist and textile designer Jorunn Jo. The screenprinted design features space-age atomic motifs in a classic midcentury modern colour combination of yellow ochre, forest green, brown and muted blue. Each of the four mats is signed in the bottom right corner and measures 41.5 x 28cm (16.35 x 11 inches). Condition is very good overall, the only sign of previous use being a small pinhole in one of the mats.
