Original red Flowerpot pendant light by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen

An original 1960s Louis Poulsen production of Verner Panton's classic late 1960s Flowerpot lamp in a glossy orangey-red enamel finish. The warm orange tones of the red enamel mean that at first glance this might be taken to be the orange member of the original Flowerpot range, but in fact the orange variation is a lighter and yellower orange, very close to the colour of the fruit. The lamp is in very good condition with only minor damage, being a small chip to the paintwork on the rim of the outer shade and some fleabites around the holes of the inner cup where the metal fixing protrudes. It retains its original porcelain Louis Poulsen bulbholder with the impressed LP monogram.
