Designed by Danish architect-designer Bent Karlby and produced by Lyfa in the 1950s, this P528 midcentury Danish modern rise-and-fall pendant with its gunmetal grey shade was part of Lyfa's premium-quality Lyfalux lighting range. The perspex core provides glare-free but effective illumination, and the lamp has a diameter of 34.5 cm and a height of 18cm, making it ideal for use over a dining table, for example. The egg-shaped rise-and-fall housing is marked "Lyfa Made in Denmark", and a handle in the base of the perspex core allows for easy height adjustment. The light is in excellent condition with very little sign of previous use, and takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb max 75 w (not supplied).
