Jacob Bang

Jacob E Bang (1899–1965) originally studied architecture but later switched to glass design. He joined the Holmegaard Glass factory in 1928 at a time when the company was in financial difficulties, and his modernist designs helped to transform the company's fortunes and received considerable acclaim at international exhibitions. He designed several glass lamps that were produced in a collaboration between Holmegaard and Fog & Mørup, the resulting lights being branded and marketed as Fog & Mørup products.
