Multi-layered vintage 1960s/70s table lamp

Unmarked but very much in the style of Swedish lighting designer and producer Hans-Agne Jakobsson, this vintage multi-layered table lamp has an exceptionally heavy base, weighing over 2.5kg (5 lbs) before the rest of the lamp comes into consideration. This of course gives it enormous stability but does add somewhat to the shipping costs. With the exception of the bottom-most layer (which has a white interior), each of the multiple layers encasing the bulb has an orange-lacquered interior face, imperceptible except when the lamp is lit, when orange light reflects onto the brushed aluminium to create a dramatic glowing effect. The lamp has been rewired with brand new two-core electric cable but its original vintage on/off switch and European two-pin plug have been retained. It takes a standard-size Edison screw bulb max 40w (not supplied) and stands approximately 54cm tall (21.25 inches) overall, with a base diameter of 20cm (8 inches).
