Henning Koppel for Torben Ørskov salad bowls 60s

Designed by silversmith Henning Koppel and produced in Denmark in the early 1960s by Torben Ørskov, this original vintage salad set comprises a larger serving bowl with a diameter of 22cm (8.5 inches) and a height of 11cm (4.5 inches) and two individual salad bowls each with a diameter of 18cm (7 inches) and a height of 5cm (2 inches). Rarely seen for sale together, this well-used vintage set displays its history most explicitly in extensive fading and abrasion to the interior surfaces of the otherwise high-gloss melamine plastic in all three bowls and a 2mm x 6mm chip to the rim of the larger bowl. Other than that there is moderate general wear throughout.
