1960s/70s Claus Bolby acrylic wall light pair

Rarely found in matching pairs today, these vintage 1960s/70s Danish art wall lamps were designed by Claus Bolby and manufactured by his own lighting company Cebo Industri of Silkeborg, Denmark in the late 60s to early 70s. The lamps have been constructed from layered strips of yellow acrylic resin, with a few dark brown bands buried below the surface. Small bubbles trapped in the resin strips add texture and light effects as the bulbs are lit up. The lamps' acrylic faces are mounted onto aluminium frames which hold the bulb and have a hole at the back to allow easy hanging from a nail or picture hook. The lamps are fitted with continental European-style two-pin plugs and take small screw-fitting bulbs (supplied). The dimensions of the light are approximately 19cm height x 12.5cm width x 8cm depth.The price is for both lights.
